Ok so I know that it has been 6 months since I posted and I am still hoping that someday soon I will catch up, but Today I am posting about Jamey. If you didn't know he has been deployed for about 2 months. He is at Al Asad air base in Iraq. He is doing pretty good. We get to talk to him almost every day and we skype with him about once a week so the kids can see him and he can see them. He is in a pretty safe area so that makes me super happy. Anyhow he has started a blog and has a posted a few times. If you are interested in reading it I have a link to it on my side bar and it is http://jameywest.blogspot.com/ So I know that I love comments so I am assuming that he would too. He would probably love to hear from people other than me.

Well thats that and I really do plan to catch up at some point but not today.

I have not been thankful enough this year and I completely lost the thank fullness that should have came with THANKSgiving. Hence the word Thanks in Thanksgiving. So here goes... I am thankful that we had a small quiet thanksgiving dinner. I am thankful for pumpkin pie. I am thankful that I got to make all of the dinner with the help of my mom. (thanks mom!) I am even thankful that I had to figure out how to make gravy. I am thankful for the chance to be the mom even though some times I yell that "I don't want to be the mom any more". I am thankful to be a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I am thankful for Morgan and Colby. I am thankful that I got to be a mom to an angel even if it was for just a few months. I am thankful for a hot husband that is pretty awesome at everything. I am thankful for the job that Jamey has. I am thankful that Jamey is only going to Afghanistan for 8 months and not 18 months like alot of other father,mothers, husbands,wives, friends, sons, brothers ect. are. I am thankful for vampires and hot werewolves. I am thankful for brothers and sisters. I am thankful for nieces and nephews. I am thankful for a nice place to live. I am thankful that I have so much stuff that I feel squished because there are alot of people that don't have anything. I am thankful for the right to choose. I am thankful for my glee sound track it makes me happy. I am thankful for the chance to talk to my heavenly father. I am thankful for my calling because I learn so much. I am thankful that I am being released from my calling in a few weeks. I am thankful for my arms and legs. What would I ever do without them. I am thankful for autumn leaves. I am thankful for two loving parents that would do anything for any of there children. I am thankful for amazing friends. I am thankful for Love. I am thankful for all of the differences in people. I am thankful for blogs, I love to read how everyone Is doing, and I love that they are such a great place to express feelings. Now I feel so much better about not being thankful on Thanksgiving. I hope Everyone had a great Thanksgiving and will follow that with a magical Christmas.

Thanks Emily for sharing your family doing the mash, I thought it was so funny I had to copy. If you didn't know the werwolf is big Neil. We needed 1 more person and the kids thought this would be best, they also think the funniest thing is when Neil the werewolf does the butt smacking dance and when Mo the mad Scientist shakes her butt. What is the deal with BUTTS. I guess they are pretty funny. And dosn't Colby make the cutest vampire. Happy Halloween everyone! ENJOY!

I am the mother of the most beautiful 4 1/2 year old girl. She can be amazing in so many ways. Right this moment she climbed on my lap and said "kisses mommy kisses" and then she said "I love you." and gave me a big sloppy kiss on my cheek. Which is so great, but then she proceeded to wiggle and try to push as many buttons on the keyboard as possible and then jump down and run away. Anyhow I am writing this because just yesterday Jamey and I took her to her yearly well child checkup and the doctor asked if she knew her alphabet? I said no. Then she asked about colors, shapes, her name, and all the things that a soon to be five year old should know to start kindergarten. My thoughts went to embarrassment because I know she should know all this stuff and as her mother I am in charge of her learning these things. Colby knew all this and more by this age and I just can't get her to settle down long enough to learn anything. Today we tried to play candy land and after about the tenth time of telling her the color yellow I was frustrated and I could see that she was mad at herself for not remembering. Her Doctor brought up A.D.H.D. or attention deficit hyper activity disorder. We had joked about her having this before because she is always on the go like the energizer bunny, but I was not real worried until now. The doctor gave me a packet that was all about ADHD and showed me the questions that they ask to diagnose it. She also said that unless I think she won't be ready for school, we should just watch it until she starts kindergarten. Well we took the packet and went on our marry way and when we looked at the questions they were rated 0 being no problem and 4 being very often, well the first 30 questions or so the answers were all 3's and 4's. This got me supper worried. Do I need to do something about this now or do I wait until she starts kindergarten and hope she is not to far behind? I looked up a few things on the Internet trying to see if I could make some dietary changes that would help and alot of newer studies have shown that it only helps in 5% of kids. There were a few studies showing that psychiatric help may be beneficial, so we may try these things. What I really need is any experience or help that any of you (my friends and family) might have. Leave me comments or call me.

I know I have been the worst blogger ever. I think I win the award for going the longest without posting.

I love the fall colors and I always try to get some pictures of my kids in the mountains. This year Jamey and I took them up to provo canyon, The leaves have turned wierd this year, you have trees that have turned and are already dried up and then you have the rest that are still green. Not to many inbetween, but I think my kids are so beautiful that they made up for it. My kids were such good sports they both think they are on americas next top model.

Ok so I know I haven't posted in a really long time and I still have hope that some day soon I will post my Easter pictures but for now this will have to do. This is a video of Grandpa Neil playing the Wii. Jamey and I got this super funny game called Rayman and the Rabbids (rabbits). Colby has gotten amazingly good at the dancing rabbids part and it ticks big Neil off that he can't beat his score so he tried and tried and finally he had to get up out of his chair and try his hardest. He lost at the very last second. Then he cussed because we all were laughing so hard. Can you hear the wild fits of laughter coming from grandma and I? I know that I look like beauty queen in this video but that's just what I really look like all the time. Don't hate. Not everyone can be that beautiful.

Alvina, Destiny and Shay See the side view of the red head sitting down. That is the girl that plays Victoria in the Movie. The line and crowd was so big to see her that this is the closest that we got. Ohhhhhh Well.
This is Millette. She twisted her ankel a few days before this and is sporting a beautiful brace over a purple and blue ankle. She is a trooper, we walked and stood around alot that night.

The crowds were endless and it was about 5000 degrees in walmart.

This is a cake that they were serving. We didn't have any due to the amount of people and germs from all the people around it..... It looked yummy but not yummy enough.

These girls were super cute. They were dressed up as Alice, when she was playing baseball. 2 of the girls really looked like her. The other one not so much.

It was a fun night. We went to Chili's around 9 pm and I eat my favorite Southwestern egg rolls. Yummm. While we were at dinner a friend called and told us that Smiths had started selling there copies at 10 pm. We debated but smiths was selling theres for $5 more than walmart. In the end we decided to take our chances with walmart. When we got there someone told us that Victoria and James were there so were started to make our way through the crowds. It was like highschool halls flashbacks all over again. We didn't make it very close because a few of us were starting to hyperventalate. I know we are getting old and boring. Around 11:30 the walmart employees started walking around with shopping carts full of DVDs so we all got one, and got in a check out line and waited until midnight when they started checking people out. Jen, Julene, Alvina, Laura, Destiny, Millett, Shay and I all came back to my house to watch the movie. It was alot of fun making fun of the diffrences and the cheesy parts together. We finished it around 3 in the morning. We had so much fun and I think I laughed so hard that my abbs hurt. I need to have more girls night outs.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!!!!!

We don't usually make to big of a deal out of Saint Patrick's but this year Colby came home from school the day before and insisted that he had to make a trap to catch the Leprechauns. He decided that he wanted to put papers out on the Deck to catch there footprints so he put some paper out and held it down with 2 huge rocks and in the morning when he woke up they found green footprints and a pot of gold candy. They were both so excited but then Mo got scared and wouldn't go outside to help look for him. She said we needed to keep the doors locked. I think that it creaped her out that some little old man was in her house while she was asleep. It took he a bit of talking to decide that he was gone and that he wouldn't hurt her. Don't you wish you could have seen into her brain today?

Morgan had her 4th birthday on the 11th. We got her a really cool double stroller for her dolls and it came in the mail at least 2 weeks before her birthday. When she found out that in that big box was her b-day present she was so excited, so for the next 2 weeks all she could do was think about what was in that box. We had a party with the Blacks the Hardys and us. It was a mad house. Over 12 kids... She chose her cake from costco and she really liked the rainbow. I thought she would choose the princess but I was wrong. We lit the candle on the cake and started to sing and before we could finish she had already blown out the candle. I don't think she quite new what to do.

Morgan has been in tumbling for about 6 months now and they had there first recital. It was so funny. They tumbled to the tigger song, you know the one........

The performance was awesome the whole class came out and the music came on and all 6 of the girls just stood there for the whole song. So the curtain closed and a minute later it reopened and the music came back on and most of the girls, including Mo did the routine. It was so cute. We latter found out that the teacher gave them a pep talk and bribed with candy. I didn't video tape it bit another girl in the class did. Momo really likes to dance. She always goes downstairs, turns dads radio on really loud and dances. It is super cute. I was trying to be sneaky and video tape her but she caught me. She mixes a bit of break dancing in there.

All about Jamey

This whole post needs to be dedicated to Jamey... For some of you that don't live around here I have been a complete beast for at least 8 months. In my defense I have been in pain, have not felt good and my hormones were all screwed up... Anyhow I finally got the ok to have a Hystorectomy and now it has been 2 weeks since the surgury and I am looking back and I have no idea how he put up with me. He has been amazing... The night before the surgury he took me to a nice restraunt and hotel. he brought me flowers in the hospital, he has taken a week off of work so that I can recover and he catered to my every need and want. He cooked really good meals everynight not to mention fed the kids and I, lunch and breakfast, and he cleaned and did the laundry the whole week. He makes sure to ask me how im doing and he even helped me put my estrogen patch on. ;) I know that dosn't sound like a big deal but if you know Jamey it is. He has been AWSOME. I was reading this great poem called the gift on my sister in law Melindas blog and it made me realize how big of a gift my husband really is...

The Gift of Companionship

Aquarium

Melinda, Bean and Zack came out to visit for a few days and we decided to go to the Aquarium in Sandy. The kids loved seeing all the cool fish, frogs, and lizards.

They had a pond that you could pet the sting rays. I was a big scardy cat. I put my hand in and out of the water 50 times before I dared finally touch one they were slimy.... The kids were all to scared to touch them. I don't blame them, the water was pretty deep.

I really liked the Jelly fish. They had 2 diffrent kinds. These ones are tiny, about the size of a dollar bill and then thy had some bigger ones that looked like they glowed red.

Colbys Birthday

Colby Birthday landed on a Sunday this year so we had a big combined family party because there are so many bithdays to celebrate in January. Colby decided that he wanted pigs in the blanket and green salad for dinner. Green salad being pistacio salad not lettuce. Megan wanted grapes and french fries and Grandma and Hannah didnt really care what they had, they were just happy to be there. I took a tone of pictures but these are the only ones that came out not fuzzy.

Colby played Jr. Jazz for the first time this year. I think that he is having fun. He gets so nervouse sometimes that he fiddles with his hands. ( as seen in the first picture.) Colby met his coach for the first time and this is what he told me about her " She is a girl and she wears pink". Meaning how is this girly girl going to teach me anything. I came to her deffense, but I have since found out that she knows as much about basketball as my 6 year old son does.

Santa came to Colby and Mo a few days earliy to give them Lego Land Tickets. He left them a note and some legos and told them that because of the rain we needed to go before christmas. They were so excited.
They had this cool Christmas tree made out of legos but I couldnt get the kids to hold still long enough to takle a picture, So this is what we got. Two dork faces in front of a tree!!!!!!!

It started to rain about an hour befor the park closed so they shut everything down and when we were walking to the care there was this beautiful rainbow.

Oceanside beach in California

Jamey and the kids and I went to California to visit Jamey's family over Christmas. It rained allot of the time that we were there but we did have one warm day right after we go there and we headed to the nearest beach. We went to Oceanside and walked out the pier, played in the waves and collected seashells. It was so calm and soothing to hear the water and birds.

Colby loved to stand and wait for the waves and then run away from them as fast as he could.

Wouldn't you love to own one of those houses on the beach.

Jamey and the kids were watching some surfers right here off the pier. the waves weren't huge but just enough to catch a short ride. If I wasn't afraid to drown I would love to learn to surf.

I forgot to take my camera to Thanksgivin

g dinner so I dont have any pictures. So youll all have to look back on Melinda and Hannahs blogs to see what it was like. However after dinner Grandma had all of the kids make a christmas countdown chain. The kids had alot of fun. They also put together a play on the first thanksgiving and they did the cutes Twelve THings I am thankful for on THanksgiving poem that Jen and the girls made up. It was one of the best thanksgivings that I remember. Then we all sat down and went through the black friday adds..... My favorite part. Black friday was fun Jen, Jeremy, Emily, Jeff , Jamey and myself all went at 3:30 in the morning. Walmart was crazy abd scared Jamey. Good Fun......

We went to the same pumpkin patch we have gone to for the last 3-4 years with Jens family. It was fun. They have a small corn maze and fun tractors to play on but the best part it that they are so inexpensive.

Colby had a fun run at school and he did an awsome job. The kids were supposed to get money pledges for every lap that they ran. grandpa pledged $1 per lap, I pledged $1 and Mo pledged a quarter per lap. Wer didnt ask anyone else to pledge. Well the teacher said that the upper grades average laps was 15. So we thought that maybe he would do ten or so. NO HE RAN 17 LAPS..... He ran hard the whole time (except for a few water breaks) We were so proud. Alyssa Hardy and Addy Twitchel ( 2nd Cousins)are in his class to. They all did good and had alot of fun. Megan and Kathryn were out of school so thay came to watch with me.

The Firemen would mark a paper on the back of each kids shirt when they ran past. MO Kathryn and Megan ran a few of the laps with them.

Hill Airforce museum

Jamey had a few thing that he had to do up at hill airforce base so when we were done we took the kids to the Areospace museum. Its a pretty cool place. And its free!!!!!!! THey had alot of cool experiments for the kids to try, they had a few flight simulater games, and alot of cool airplanes from the bigining of flight until now. It was fun and I took a hole lot of pictures.
Colby called this the big honk nose plane. This was the coolest plane there. Jamey loved it. The guide told us that to fly this you had to wear a special space suit because it gets going so fast that the top of the plane got to 2000 degrees and the bottom got even hotter .

So Colby started School just a week or 2 ago and I have to say I was not at all sad. I did not shed even one tear. I think he was so ready. He was driving me crazy all the time to have friends over or to make something special or just plain bugging Momo. I think he was bored. So we walked him over there and he was a little nervous but still very ready. I cant wait until parent teacher conference to see how he is doing. He has just learned to tie his shoes this past week because we told him that to be in school you have to know how to tie. he seems to be doing good but I'll keep ya posted on how it all goes.

24 th of July

We decided to have a big BBQ on the 24th of July. We invited Jen Jay and kids, KC and Kayden Skinner and The Hardy family. It was a ton of fun. We filled up the pool and slip and slide for the little kids, we played croquet(?) and we had a big water fight.

We as a family decided that we needed to make a better effort to have family night. We have been doing very well. There has only been 1 or 2 weeks that we have missed. We went to a buzz game one night. I was not the most excited for this because I asumend that I would just be taking care of kids and it would be alot easier to do that at home but we all had alot of fun including me. They have a park, a train that we were to late to ride on and a big bouncy thing. We also got to see the mascot Bumble the Bee. Morgan asked him why he couldn't talk and he wrote have you ever seen a bee talk and she said yes on the bee movie. He was stumped. It was a good night.

Shemri pointed out to me that I am not the most active blogger so here I am trying to catch up. My Mom was babysitting our cousin Leanns kids for a few weeks while she went to school and one day we decided that we would go to the squirt park together. ( Megan and Kathryn went to) Braden, Leanne's oldest would get totally dripping wet and then chase you down yelling GiVE ME A BIG HUG!!!! This is now my kids favorite thing to do. The squirt park is right next to the playground so all the kids played on both. We had alot of fun.

At the dino museum

Colbys Graduation

So its been at least a month since I posted so I decided to catch up. Colby graduated in the beginning of June. He was mad because I made him dress up and I told him that everyone else would be but they weren't. I told him that its ok cause he was the most handsome boy there. That calmed him down. His class did a little program with all of the things that they liked best. Jamey Turned 30 which he is not happy about. Jeremy and Emily had there 3rd baby girl and so the twins came to visit for a few days. We had alot of fun while they were here. We went to the park one day and had a picnic and we went to the Dinosaur museum. When I pulled out my camera to pictures I only got one in before it died. Jens girls got out of school on Tuesday the 2nd of July so Jen and I decided to do something fun with them. We went up American fork canyon and walked the trails around Cascade springs. It was very beautiful. We also packed a lunch and eat and played at the aspen hills amphitheater. Then on the way home we stoped at Bridal Vail falls and played in the pond at the bottom. It was an all around fun day. That pretty much catches me up. I will try to be better at posting and taking pictures. Until next time.

Amazing Thanksgiving Point gardens

Jen the girls and Me and my terrorists went to the Thanksgiving Point gardens while the Girls were off Track. We had so much fun and it was amazingly beautiful. We even packed a lunch and ate it at a table with a view of the waterfalls.

The Tulips were so beautiful.

There was a secret Garden that was all enclosed with brick walls covered in vines just like in the books and movies. It had the funnest pond in the middle of it. There were little spouts that shot the water up in an arch and I taught Colby how to make them squirt at everyone. We stoped and played there for a long time. We all got pretty wet except Jen who was very tired do to the cheezy as Hannah, Meg and Cat call it.

Mo tried to squirt others but mostly got herself.

I decided that this would make such a cute picture and it did except that by the time we took it Mo was way soaking wet from the pond.

So these are the largest Man Made waterfalls in North America. They were so beautiful. these pictures don't do them justice. You all will have to go see them.

Colby Mo and Me

They really were having fun but there is 4 miles of garden paths and I think that they were starting to get tired. We had to take a few breaks.

I took so many pictures that day. It was beautiful and I can't wait until all the summer flowers, like the roses are in bloom. If you have the chance to go take it.

Baseball

Colby is playing baseball this year and Jamey is his assistant coach. He has had 4 games so far and he is doing awesome. They play coach pitch and if they cant hit it after 3 tries than they can hit it off the tee. Colby almost always hits it from the coach. He is having alot of fun.

So the kids both had there once a year check up last month. They were so scared that they were going to get shots that they didn't want to go. When we got there the nurse said that they were both up to date and didn't need any. They were both very relieved

Easter was fun but a little lonley. It was just our family and Jen and Jay and kids this year, But we still had a fun easter egg hunt and a yummy breakfast. The kids got to hunt for 16 eggs each.(wow!!!!) Hannah had a hard time finding her 16 she was the last one done, it was pretty silly. We also decided to try out the Herriman egg hunt again and yes it is still pretty lame. Colby was so nervouse of all the people that he wouldn't even go in to pick anything up.

Ok so I know that I havent blogged in a while. We had Mo's B-day party on her b- day

March 9th and we ate cupcackes and chicken nuggets (she said that is what she wanted the most) She got a new bike and Helmet from Jamey, A play make up vanity from me, A isle from grandma and grandpa, some markers and chalk from Colby, A doll from the Hardy family and a Backyardigans game from the Black family. She had a lot of fun.

Warmer Days

I am so thankful that it is getting warmer outside because it gets these crazy kids out of my hair for a while. Well one day I sent them out and I left the back door open while I cleand house and after a while I could here them out there laughing so I went to see what was so funny and I about died laughing too, they were riding down the little dirt hills in the backyard in there big yellow dump trucks. At first I was a little nervouse that they were going to get hurt but then I couldent help but wish that I was a kid again.

The dino museum

Jamey and I have been fighting about buying a dinosaure museum pass for a long time, so when he confesed to me that he had bought a $200 Golf club I decided that He had just given me permission for that dino pass. So I called Alvina and we went. It was Colby and Morgan second time going and they had so much fun. I think that we could spend atleast 8 hours there. They loved pretending to be scared for the pictures with the big shark....(pics are on Jameys phone so I cant put them on here.) We got the pass that includes all of Thanksgiving Point so when it gets a little warmer we can go to the farm and the childrens discovery garden.

So this morning Jen called me and asked if the kids and I would like to go to the Zoo and the Children's Museum and I jumped on the idea because I really did not want to spend another day cooped up in the house. We went to the Zoo first and let me tell you it was awesome there were very little people there so we could spend as much or as little amounts of time at any animal we wanted. We didn't even have to wait in line for the white alligator. I also really loved it because most of the animals were up and moving around. It was way cool. When we were done at the Zoo we went to lunch at Wingers!!!!! ( So much for my diet) Then we were off to the museum. There were so many fun things for us to play with and touch and nothing was breakable. Jen said that this place was designed for attention defecate disorder in mind. We had so much fun. We were all worn out and thirsty so on the way home Mo decided that she wanted a surpy (Slurpee). So we ended our fun day with a trip to a 7 eleven in down town Rose Park. (scary) I do have to say that this was an awesome fun day full of learning.

Jen and Jay are having an alone weekend so we are watching the girls and I decided to getr all the kids one of those balloons that have an elastic on one end that you hit, well some time during ther playing with them we decided that we were pregnant and that we looked like aunt Melinda and Emily. They thought it wood be great to bump bellies, and I thought it would be funny to take pictures.

Snow day

Ok so I have never heard of church being cancled due to snow but ours was it was awsome. We woke up on Sunday morning and there was a very large amount of snow all over the place. We all stayed inside until it stoped and then Granpa Neil decided that he needed to shovel the sidewalks, and Colby and Mo decided to go with him. While they were shoveling Jay Miller came and like a night on his big green tractor helped with the snow removal. The kids could not resist getting in the snow a litytle but it was so deep that they sometimes couldent get out and then would freak out. It was a super fun time for all...

Colby 5th b-day

Ok so I was looking through Emily and Melinda's blogs and decided that I need to be a better mom and show off how cute my kids are so here I am and we will see how long I go in between posts.

So Colby had his fifth b-day on Friday the 11th and I decided that he needed to have a party. It was so much fun we had about 12 kids here and we had a treasure hunt and we walked the plank, and we played pin the eye patch on the pirate it was alot of fun. We also had a pinata and Colby was the only one who hit it hard enough do break it open so we let all the kids have three turns and then let Colby just go crazy on it. I had so much fun planing it and making his cake was way fun...
